The IBS Low battery protection switches off the consumer when the set total discharge value is reached (with a lead battery approx. 11.6V), whereby the load LED lights up red. When charging again, or when the battery voltage reaches the upper switching value (with a lead battery approx. 12.6V), the consumer is automatically switched on again, whereby the Load LED goes out.
The LBP10 works in 12V as well as in 24V operation.
Since a lithium battery has higher voltage values than a conventional lead battery, the deep discharge protection can also be configured for lithium using a DIP switch.
The load current (Load Current) is displayed with 10 green LEDs, from 1-10A. If the load is too big, all 10 load current LEDs flash and the LBP10 also switches off the consumer. Another function of the LBP10 is the battery voltage display by means of the Batt-LED, which shows the voltage in three stages (green => fully charged, orange => medium battery voltage value, red => low battery voltage). The LBP10 is equipped with a signal output (open collector), which announces the separation of the load in good time.
The load can also be manually disconnected with the help of the button by allowing this with the correct configuration on the dip switch and after pressing the button for 10 seconds. Another configuration that can be set using the dip switch is the run-flat function. This function operates the consumer in an emergency the shutdown value until the emergency stop function triggers a safety shutdown undertakes. This can lead to total discharge and should only be used in an emergency to be activated.
In order to receive a visual signal before the load is disconnected, an LED can e.g. be installed on the dashboard. This LED can be connected to the green cable (open collector) as shown in the wiring on the right. The other cables can also be connected as shown in this wiring diagram.

DIP Switch 1: With the RiCT measurement, the switch-off value is set via the Internal resistance measured precisely. The voltage measurement can used when the load is only controlled by voltage.
DIP Switch 2: Choice between lead and lithium batteries.
DIP Switch 3: With the setting Aux (board battery), the switch-off value is 0.2V lower than with the starter battery setting, so that there is enough voltage when starting the car.
DIP Switch 4: The Runflat function operates the consumer in an emergency the shutdown value until the emergency stop function triggers a safety shutdown undertakes. This can lead to total discharge and should only be used in an emergency to be activated. After activating this DIP switch function, the Runflat function can be started by pressing the button for 10 seconds.
Pressing the button again for 10 seconds activates the run-flat function turned off again. If the button is pressed for 10 seconds without the DIP-Switch4 has been changed, all LEDs flash.
